Is Lyme Disease Vaccination Necessary?

May 19, 2014, 1:59 PM
Q: We are in wisconsin in the summer, do we need to get our Havanese a lyme vaccination? I have read they can be sensitive to them. We are in Florida the rest of the year. She is only 6 mths old. We do use frontline.
A: I think Lyme vaccination is a good idea for any dog that will be outside. If she hasn't ahac vaccinie reactions with her other shots I wouldn't worry although vaccine reactions can occur with any vaccine. Take a look at the video "Vaccine Reactions"
