January 28, 2014, 10:47 AM- Q: I just purchased a 10 week old pup 1 week ago so I have tons of questions! when is it a good time to get her a flea collar? how often does your pup need a bath?
- A: The age at which you can start parasite control products depends on the porduct. In terms of flea collars the most complete is a new collar called "Soresto" which is labeled for 7 weeks and older. Let me know if you have questions about a specific product. New puppies can get soiled easily and it is okay to bathe often during the training period. In general no more than once a week with a mild shampoo like "Aloe and Oatmeal"
