Rabies Vaccination

July 26, 2016, 6:44 PM
Q: My puppy was born on 4/15/16. My breeder told me to have her vaccinated against rabies any time from 7/31 to 8/7. My vet's office told me I have to wait until Aug. 15, as that would be four months. What is the latest time frame requirement?
A: The minimum age for rabies vaccination is set by the state of residence. It is usually 12-16 weeks, I would follow the recommendation of your vet.
