Fecal testing
October 29, 2020, 11:52 AM- Q: I was wondering on my first vet visit for my new puppy should i get a fecal test? Since I will be giving the pup the preventative meds (Metronidazole and Panacur), I wasn't sure if that was necessary? Thanks
- A: Fecal testing on a new puppy is a great plan. There are other conditions of the intestinal tract not affected by those medications. If the tests are negative you do not need to administer those medications.
