- A: if she eats well within an hour of bedtime it is okay to just leave a little food in the cage overnight. If her appetite before bedtime is not particularly good then you should check on her after 4 hours overnight to be sure she eats something to avoid hypoglycemia. Once she has shown that she will eat regularly during the day for 5-7 days in a row then you do not need to worry about the overnight.
