How Often to Feed
November 29, 2016, 3:12 PM- Q: My puppy is 16 weeks old and he is on 4 small meals now. My question is he ready to reduce the number of meals to three? He eats 1/4 cup per meal and sometimes he does not finish his meal. The first meal is at 6:30 am, the second at 12:30pm, the third at 4:00 pm and the last one is at 6:30pm.
- A: For his age. 4 meals is not necessary so it is fine to drop that to 3 and it won't be too long that you will find he doesn't finish all of those and you can reduce it to 2 per day. I do not have his weight so I cannot comment on total volume.
