When to Start Adult Dog Food

March 30, 2014, 4:59 PM
Q: When do you change to adult dog food?
A: Once your puppy's rate of growth starts to slow it is a good idea to gradually introduce adult food, for small breed puppies this would be around 8 months of age and for large breeds around12-18 months. The larger the puppy the longer they should stay on puppy food which is designed to support more rapid body and bone growth.
