Feeding and training

Q: We have a Morkie pup that is almost 9 weeks old. We got her on Sunday. She wouldn’t eat her hard food so we have been offering it but then supplementing with babyfood/Karo syrup mix. We are feeding every 3 during the day and every 4 at night. How do we transition to the hard food and do we leave her hard food and water available at all times? Also wondering how to stop whining through the night?
A: Start by mixing finely crushed dry food with the baby food and gradually increase size and quantity of kibble. It is a good idea to have water available all the time and leave so kibble in cage overnight. The only way to deal with whining is to ignore it.
