New puppy arrival

Q: My puppy is arriving from the East Coast to the West Coast via a 5h airplane ride this evening at 10pm. By the time we go through the paperwork and drive home from the airport it will be 11pm. It will "feel like" 2am for the pup. Should we still go through all of the steps outlined in the homecoming video or should we do a shortened version and start fresh in the morning?

A: Be sure to offer food, water and a chance for exercise and elimination on arrival home.  An abbreviated version is a great idea.
