Benadryl for car ride
July 13, 2018, 5:39 PM- Q: Hi! We have a 13lb Shichon who is almost 11 months old. We are on a longer car trip and wanted to know how much Benadryl would be acceptable to give her if she begins to have issues. Thank you.
- A: The standard dose for Benadryl is 1mg/pound body weight at least 1 hour prior to need. Many times it does not work well for motion related problems so I would suggest trying it ahead of the actual trip.
