Itching
January 20, 2022, 10:05 PM- Q: My 10 months old Teddy Bear has been itching constantly. There is no tick/ flea nor any rash. I bath puppy once every 2-3 weeks using mild oat meal based shampoo. Not sure what could be causing the constant itch and how to address it. Could you please help.
- A: If the skin looks normal with no redness, sores or rash it is probably due to dryness. Using a mild puppy shampoo like aloe and oatmeal as well as a “leave on” conditioner can help. The best long term measure is using an omega 3 fatty acid supplement but it can take a few weeks before you see the effects of it.
