Diarrhea

Q: Replying: My puppy did have a stool test a few days after she arrived from PremierPups that came up positive for Giardia antigen but her stools were normal at that time. Yesterday when the diarrhea started she was active and eating throughout the day. Today she is active but less so, and did not want to eat in the morning. I gave her water and tried various food until she finally took a little bit of scrambled eggs. Should I give her pepto bismal?

A: If she feels good otherwise you can give pepto at 0.5ml per pound 2-3 times a day for 2 days.  So was the antigen test the only positive?
