Red Crusty Eye
March 14, 2015, 1:16 PM- Q: I have a teacup maltese dog. Her eye is red and producing a lot of "junk", causing crust around her eye. What do we do and should veterinary care be seeked? Thank you!
- A: If her attitude and appetite are good you can start at home by using some ophthalmic saline (like for contacts) to gently clean her eye 2-3 times a day. If that doesn't solve the problem in a couple days you should get it checked. Please let me know if you have other questions.
