Plenty of rest
April 25, 2017, 2:44 PM- Q: My puppy gets overly tired in the middle of the day but wants to keep playing unless I place him in his crate to rest. Is it okay to schedule about a half hour rest every couple of hours for him I feel bad leaving him in there but he definitely needs the sleep.
- A: If this is a new puppy you should shoot for 20-30 minutes play and 1-1.5 hours rest. Putting him in his crate is part of him learning it is a safe and restful place. If you are not using a cover on his crate you should try it.
