Wheezing In the Morning

May 28, 2014, 6:27 PM
Q: I have a 13 week old male CavaChan. I noticed for the last few days he wheezes for about 15-30 minutes after waking up in the morning after sleeping through the night. After that he is a terror. No sign of wheezing, full of energy.
A: He is clearing his nasal passages of fluid or debris accumulated overnight. That could be from something in his night environment that he is not exposed to during the day. If you can't spot anything different about his night environment then it could just be due to inactivity during the night. As long as the morning is the only time you need not worry.
