Dry skin?
April 27, 2021, 4:10 PM- Q: My 11 week old Maltese is constantly scratching behind her ears and biting/chewing her hind legs. We use mild oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. The veterinarian saw no lesions or patches of dry red skin. She's on an organic human-grade dry & wet diet with Omegas. No fleas/ticks/worms. She gets 1/8 tsp of coconut oil 2x weekly. What else can I do?
- A: You are doing the right things for dryness however the oil supplements take a few weeks to show their benefit. You could add a leave on conditioner after the baths.
