Rate of Breathing
September 1, 2020, 2:15 AM- Q: Dog breathing fast while asleep
- A: As long as he feels good otherwise that is not a problem. If all else is normal then the respiratory rate is also normal. There is tremendous variation in respiratory rates in puppies. They also experience REM sleep during which time the respiratory rate reflects the activity he is experiencing in his dreams. There will also often be eye movements, facial twitching, limb movements and vocalizations during this deep sleep. You do not need to be concerned.
