Q: What can you do to give relief of itching I gave my 16 wk puppy a bath this is the third time but something is making her itch this time

A: If you do not see any rash or sores the most common reason for itching in young puppies is dryness. Bathing often contributes to the problem. It is best to use a mild shampoo like aloe and oatmeal followed by a leave on conditioner. Using a fatty acid (Omega 3) supplement is the best long term approach but it takes several weeks of giving it before you can judge the benefits.
