Spay or neuter timing

May 20, 2019, 4:00 AM
Q: How old my puppy has to be to be fixed?
A: There are several factors that influence the choice of timing for “fixing” For either males or females one approach is to plan the surgery just prior to significant hormone production. For small breeds this is around 5 1/2- 6 months of age and for larger breeds around 8 months of age. Take a look at the video on “Spaying and Neutering”
