Scooting on Bottom

September 7, 2013, 9:06 AM
Q: My puppy has been dragging her bottom and walking with her front legs. Is this normal puppy behavior, or it is something I should be worried about?
A: Scooting is most often a sign of problems with the anal glands. It can also be associated with worms, esp tapeworms, fleas or surface irritation of the base of the tail, anus or perineum (anal to groin area). Take a look at the article about "Scooting"
